This program will consist of 6 different projects in outer Melbourne and Ballarat, supporting the ideas and plans designed and facilitated by migrant refugee and multicultural youth.  

Here's a little bit about each project:

Tiaal mi goa

A podcast about mental and social wellbeing. The podcast will be produced in Central Highlands & Wimmera regions between July 2023 to October 2024.   

Diversity in motion

In-school dance workshop, mentorships, and talent quest, with a public outcome for multicultural youth schools in Melton. Workshops will be held between July 2023 to October 2024.   

Be free

Hip-Hop and RnB music production workshops, led by members of the Afro-Pasifika Youth in Werribee and Tarneit, engaging with schools and youth groups. These workshops will be held between May 2023 to June 2024  

Mad festival

Music, Arts and Dance Festival located in the city of Dandenong with multicultural youth in the South East. The festival will be held sometime between May 2023-May 2024   

Higher vision

Film making workshops and mentorships will be run by African youth in Tarneit. In addition, they will provide access to equipment and education within their local community  

Tasi taa

Through the City of Casey, youth music theatre workshops and performances will be run, targeting multicultural families in Hampton Park. The final outcome will result in documentation of the process and recordings of the final presentations.
